Plated: A Food Review

Image
I got caught by one of the facebook ads that look like a post. However, I’m rather enjoying it so far. Plated is yet another shipped box of goodies. This time, it’s ingredients and recipes. For my first box, I ordered 2 plates each of 2 meals. We had Pollock with marinated cucumbers and dill yogurt sauce the night the box arrived. The recipe card is a full sheet that has easy to follow instructions and pictures for each step. You supply the dishes and a couple basic ingredients like olive oil, salt, and pepper. Read through your recipe before doing it, then just follow the steps, and voila! Dinner. The Pollock was very delicious. It had Israeli couscous, which I had never had before but enjoyed. We loved the yogurt dill sauce, and Pollock is often used for fish and chips, so it brought back fond memories for me, without the breading and grease. Stitch Fix The Second

Image
Originally I was supposed to get this Stitch Fix on Wednesday. Then shipping was moving slow and it said Saturday. Doorbell rang today. Guess what? Stitch Fix! J didn't seem to understand my excitement, but then again, I was having a girly moment. It came as we were getting ready to go get some lunch, so I waited until we came home to open it. I don't have all the pretty pictures this time, but I do have pics of the items. Right on top was a green sweater from Oxmo. I grabbed it and said it was so me! J even started joking that I had pulled it out of the closet, not the box. They were spot on with this one. It's green and see through, perfect for layering. Wrapped with the sweater was a pair of skinny jeans from Kut From The Kloth. I wasn't sure about them, since I am often hit or miss with jeans, but they fit perfect and were very comfy. They have a good amount of stretch and are soft and comfy.  I actually wanted some dark skinnies!  The next bundle ha...

I'm A Lynx! Rawr!

Ok not really. But I have 2 tops from Lynx Sportswear that I would like to review for you. First is the Sports bra. I ordered blue. Amber is very proud of me for not getting black. not black! Now the pics online showed black trim, and I got white, but I can live with it. They are measurement based, much like Enell . You get a number and a letter. The letters stand for their 3 size ranges, Sprint, Dart, and Zoom. My measurements had me in a 3, and kinda between Dart and Zoom. They actually contacted me (via email) on Christmas day after I placed my order and offered to send both a dart and a zoom for me to try on, with a pre-paid envelope to return the one that didn't fit. The Zoom went on well, but had some extra fabric in a few spots. It doesn't help that I have such a short torso! The Dart is a snug fit, but I prefer snug. over the shoulder boulder holder view At first I was worried that the band wasn't tight enough. Again, I prefer a snug fit. But I decid...
